The Servant's Praise
The servant was a respectable-looking, civil elderly woman who has know Mr.Darcy since he was four years old. I did not expect this. She is a lovely woman indeed; her name is Mrs.Reynolds. As she was walking us through the palace, she was telling us all about Mr.Darcy, and I could not believe my ears! All she was doing was praising him. I was in absolute shock. I thought to myself, "Are we talking about the same Mr.Darcy?" We were told that he is a good brother, an extraordinary master, an amiable man towards the poor, etc, etc, etc. One can only imagine what was going on in my head. There was definitely a moment where a more gentle sensational feeling toward my original that I have ever felt toward Mr.Darcy.

When you know Darcy for as long as I have, and as long as Mrs. Reynolds has, you will learn his true personality. I have known him to be more than what you see and assume after short weeks. It is funny though, that it can indeed seem like Darcy has alternate personalities. He can be two completely different people - however, once you know the side of him that is true and loving, you will soon forget the other side.
