The Foolish Child Comes Home
They have found her, Mr.Gardiner, my dear, kind uncle has found them both, and he is now taking care of them both. A few days later, she came home with Wickham. Everyone was quite angry and emotionless when they arrived, except Mama. Lydia was acting very foolish and seal-centered. Her behavior irked me. I disliked her at that moment, she has been acting like nothing happened, and she is expecting everyone to be happy that she is back and that we should throw her a party or something. Umm, no! How could she? It angers me beyond words.

I share your frustration comepletely my daughter. I can not bear that Lydia would behave as such. I mean, I always knew she was selfish, materialistic, oblivious, and down right stupid. I guess i too am oblivious since i never saw the extent of these character traits in Lydia.
ReplyDeleteI understand how you feel Lizzie, but we have to understand that she is our sister. She has brought unbelievable stress upon all of us, but we have to leave that behind now. Let us be thankful she is at least doing well. We know she is safe and in good hands now that she is back home.
