And He Proposes... What Guts He Has!
I cannot believe it, this man has some guts! After all that has happened, he wants to marry me? Ummm... no I do not think so.What a ruthless man! How can he do such despicable things, then expect for me to accept his hand in marriage? First he says that I am "tolerable", he insults my family, he say I am not good enough for him, yet he wants me to marry him? Also, he confessed that he liked me against his will, what a shocker! First of all when you approach a lady to accept your hand in marriage, that is definitely not what you say! What can he possibly be up to? I am sticking to my instinctive decision. No is no!

My Dear sister, please do not be so unsensitive. I am sure there is a clear understanding of all this, you never know what is going on in his life. These feelings he has are very gentle, as I would know. I know he has had an awful reputation with you lately and has brought a lot of pain, but do not crush him. Two wrongs do not make a right.
ReplyDeleteElizabeth, it is true that as his best friend, I know Mr. Darcy better than most people. Yes, Darcy can behave like a child and be as stubborn as one too, but you have to realize this is merely what we see of him on the outside. He has been raised in such a way that his true feelings are difficult to expose themselves. Please understand that in the end, it is love that matters - nothing else my lady.. nothing else.
